JG Morgan Plant Hire was established in 1973 when its founder Jim Morgan purchased his first machine, a CAT D8 which he re-built & drove himself for a number of years. As the plant hire business grew, so did the choice of machinery for hire, Caterpillar D8’s, D6’s, scrapers, excavators and articulated dump trucks were many of the machines within the fleet. In 1991 Patrick joined the company, which in turn prompted the name change to JG Morgan & Son Ltd. A change of direction followed and the focus on plant sales became the main core of the business.
